Giving golden retrievers the second chance they deserve
GRIN is a volunteer-run rescue dedicated to helping golden retrievers and golden mixes find safe, loving homes. From medical care to thoughtful placement, everything we do is built around giving each dog the best possible future.
Ways to get involved

ABOUT GRIN
Built on care. Powered by people.
A mission that’s been going strong for over 30 years. Founded in 1992, GRIN is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit run entirely by volunteers. We rescue dogs from shelters, surrenders, puppy mills, and difficult situations — providing medical care, foster homes, and thoughtful placement.
We’ve helped place over 4,300 dogs into loving homes, and we continue to take in dogs with complex medical and behavioral needs — because they deserve a chance too.

What to know before getting started
How does adoption work?
We take a thoughtful approach to matching dogs with the right homes. The process includes an application, review, and a meet-and-greet to ensure a strong fit for both you and the dog.
Do I have to adopt to help?
Where do the dogs come from?
Do you have a facility I can visit?
How are donations used?

We understand that life circumstances can change. GRIN offers a compassionate, judgment-free surrender process to ensure your dog is placed in a safe and caring environment.
How are donations used?
Donations directly support veterinary care, food, transportation, and other essential needs for the dogs in our care. 100% of the money donated goes toward giving our goldens a second chance.
